The Celestial Fire Shoot

During this winter, 2013, after one of the bigger snowfalls I was inspired.

A spontaneous idea quickly evolved when I asked my favourite americano fire dancer friend Josh and his

gorgeous lady Abby to be involved. As well as the fresh snow and this sweet couple I also had a

pair of outstanding angel wings I’d been looking after so, I thought, this combination of elements

is perfect to visually explore the performance themes fire & ice / heaven & hell.

The session was fun, dynamic and intense from time to time – any small breeze adds ferocity to

fire when held still for photograph poses, adding to the energy of the zealous fire angel!

During the shooting and afterward looking at the images I think we captured some kind of contemporary

spiritual iconography…they’re both angels serving the same cause with different roles.

Anyways, Abby is naturally Angelic and Josh like Fire Jesus, its the hair.

We were all impressed with the images and thought theyre really cool!
